Post subject: 09 Challenger SRT8 6 speed STS turbo kit

Hello, I am in the process of installing an STS turbo kit on an 09 Challenger SRT8 6 speed. As part of the package, I was sent a Predator U7135 to upload the stock tune, send it to STS for them to modify and send it back for me to load into the car. When I plug in the Predator, I get a message saying it doesn't support CAL ID: 68004308AD. I have updated the CROM to v.9r13, but it still doesn't work. I really need to get this think working now as it is tying up a bay in my shop.

| It will not work on a manual transmission. Manuals are not yet supported. You're gonna have to wait until they're supported before you can do anything with the kit. Pull it out of the bay and park it. |

Yes, we have at no time announced support for anything other than the 09 SRT8 automatics, so any 6 speed or 5.7 applications will have to hold off until we complete testing.

| Can you give me an estimate of time before the 6spd will be supported? I am supprised that STS sold us a kit for an 09 6spd including the Predator without Predator support. |

| I'm really just trying to get some info on their universal kits. I've seen the three Stages of single turbo kits, but nothing about twins. Do they even offer a twin turbo universal kit, or is it pretty much gonna have to be two single turbo kits? |

What are the differences between the 09 SRT A/T PCM, and the 6-speed PCM, and why would it take more time?
Also, what does DS know about the #7 misfire situation with the 09 SRT w/ 6-speed, and would they (you, DS) be at liberty to tell us, the public anything that they know, or have been encountering with this (if they've experienced it).

They switched how the whole logic changed in the 09 5.7L and 6.1L 6spd for 09, alot of torque based stuff which the earlier years did not have, stuff that we need to know how it works before we release anything.
I did hear something about that misfire situation, ill see if i can dig up some more info on that. |

Yea, much has been discussed about this on http://www.challengertalk.com in both, the "general" forum, as well as the "SRT8 Specific". It would be interesting if DS also has some other information channel, or their own insight on this issue.
I think it would benefit DS to comment on situation as much as they can (after researching, and digging up some more info as you state). If anything, just as a show of support for those who are afflicted by the problem and who are severely depressed, and disappointed.
A lot of them (on the forum above) are counting on a DS mod/tune/fix that may directly affect this condition as workaround, or maybe somehow, by chance, that some parameter adjustment in a DS tune that may alter things just enough to keep the PCM out of the code loop that is causing this situation.
So anyways, yes, I think it would be a good show for DS to make a statement (any statement) on this either way. If anything, a simple statement along the lines of "we at DS feel your pain" would probably go a long way.

This is the first I am hearing of this, Johan may have heard something somewhere....
We have not seen this issue in house yet though, and until we do so we will not be able to say much about it.... |

this might be a stretch and it's totally off-topic, but are you located in utah?
the other day i saw a sweet new srt-8 challenger with STS stickers on the back. |

| I was looking in to the Twin system for my magnum R/T and adding a Meth injection kit with it. I had a bunch of questions for them. Spoke to a guy named Vernon Hills (pretty good guy) and he was gonna pass my questions on to Engineering (they were mostly AWD and climate specific questions). |
