2015-2016 Hellcat Performance Tuning

The new Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat models are undoubtedly powerful driving machines. Our stock dyno pulls (on a Superflow, load-bearing dyno) showed them making around 660 to the wheel. Our mission was to get these beasts to the next level by making over 700 HP to the tire.

The new Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat models are undoubtedly powerful driving machines. Our stock dyno pulls (on a Superflow, load-bearing dyno) showed them making around 660 to the wheel. Our mission was to get these beasts to the next level by making over 700 HP to the tire.


We tuned both manual and automatic Hellcats with 93 and 91 octane fuel to ensure the best power gain available on premium fuel. Our calibrations team worked overtime on our tunes to do justice to such and an incredibly engineering powertrain. Through a combination of throttle adjustments, spark and fuel map changes, and several other tweaks, we found the power we were looking for. The tune for 93 octane made the mark, coming in at 700.2. We noticed that once the engine warms up it starts to rob some of the power (see dyno sheet), so make sure you let it cool down before your next track pass. If you want even more power out of your Hellcat than what we made stock, adding a harmonic balancer, Pulley, Off-Road exhaust system, and a CMR custom tune should allow for even bigger gains.


When we finished making power, we took the car out on the street to enhance the drivability. We adjusted the rev limiters in each gear, and kicked the throttle response up a notch to make the car more responsive. We noted a much quicker low RPM acceleration along with smooth power delivery across the board. We also added some specific parameters that you can tweak depending on your needs like Throttle Booster, ignition timing, fueling, idle and more!


To tune your Hellcat, your stock PCM needs to be “unlocked”

In order to put a tune on the new Hellcat computer, we need to work some magic on it. The process involves us modifying the computer to allow our Trinity and inTune DCX Programmers to interface with it. The first, and most important part of the process to note is that sending your factory PCM in for the unlock service could take between 3-5 business days. Additionally, if you unlock your factory PCM and do not have a spare, you may have issues at the dealership if they need to re-flash at a dealership for any reason.

Pre-loaded Performance Tunes

The tune selections for the 2015-2016 SRT Hellcat Charger and Challenger depend on the type of gas you want to put in the tank. For best results, we always recommend running the highest-octane gas available, and running the tune associated with that octane rating (ex: 93 octane, 91 octane)


93 Octane Performance Tune+30 HP | +30 TQ

This tune requires a minimum of 93 Octane fuel in the tank. Running lower octane, or low quality fuel may affect your results.


91 Octane Performance Tune+28 HP | +22 TQ

This tune requires a minimum of 91 Octane fuel in the tank. Running lower octane, or low quality fuel may affect your results.


Factory Horsepower Tune

This tune allows you to keep your Hellcat’s horsepower the same as stock, but it allows you to modify various vehicle parameters.
