A week before LS Fest East, Kyler Millershaski’s 2013 Camaro SS was completely stock and was not cut out to compete in the dirt-slinging HooptieX competition at LS Fest East. Now, after a LiftaBrand extended front struts, 32-inch-tall tires, and a light bar, it’s. . . well. . . still not exactly cut out for sending it full speed over the jumps. With just a couple of inches of travel, he admits that the ride it pretty rough, although you might not know it watching him throw roostertails thought the corners. “I drove it out, which means I have to drive it back, otherwise I would have launched it harder,” Millershaski told us. The course at this year’s LS Fest East was constructed for Holley Ford Fest last year and is almost identical, with a snaking course that features lots of hairpins and gave entrants plenty of opportunity to drift through the dirt A veteran HooptieX competitor in his Crown Vic, Millershaski is a big fan of the affordable series that allows for lots of fun and camaraderie. When we asked him what made him choose a fifth-generation Camaro for this year’s LS Fest West, he answered with a big grin, “I needed something with an LS in it. A C8 was out of my price range.”
