Well I didn’t get what I was hoping for . Please understand this is not to devalue your product . This was an expectation of my own and thus left me slightly disappointed. In general the product is easy to use and the adjustable features are nice . I would recommend this to others for the ease of use and the features... but as far as the above mentioned expectations I would like to see if the more expensive ones give that seat of the pants feel and throttle response I was hoping for .

Rated 3 out of 5 by Colin from It’s ok It made my 08 Silverado drive a lot better I use the 87 performance tune. I noticed a huge difference in performance it will break the tires loose from a stop while it’s dry albeit I have a 3.73 ratio which helps but I also have a lift and rin 33in tires. I was also able to turn off afm which is great because afm is the worst invention ever and made my truck run like total garbage. I kind of wish I would have spent a little more and got the intune tuner instead. But if you’re just looking for a canned tune to pep up your truck it’s not a bad little tuner. The intune has more tunes. As for fuel mileage I’ve had the tuner for about a month and ive noticed a decrease by 2mpg but I can’t stop flooring it every chance I get because of the tuner lol it is also winter so we’ll see how it does when summer comes around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AEO1656 from Upgrade for my 2016 Tahoe I purchased the Predator 2 for my 2016 Chevy Tahoe. I like the ability to customize even with the preloaded tunes on this device. I turned off my AFM and made a few other adjustments that I really liked. So far I tried three of the tunes, 87 Octane, Tow and the Diablo Sport Tune. All have been great and different. The 87 octane tune gave me some additional noticeable boost, the towing tune worked nicely when towing a smaller camping trailer, and recently the Diablo Tune has added a level of badassery to my Tahoe. I have added a cat back dual exhaust by Gibson and a K&N Cold Air Intake on my Tahoe. It’s performing better overall and getting better gas mileage. I would definitely buy this again. Super easy to install different programs, plus it’s easy to return to factory settings. Basically plug in, follow directions and enjoy the new abilities of your vehicle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by the410kidd from Excellent Customer Service I received a P2 in my AFM DoD delete kit that I ordered from AMS Racing. The P2 that came with the kit had a defect and would only show a white screen. I called and Steven pushed an update through the ignition program and told me to call back if it didn't fix it. I called back about 15 minutes later and he said its not common for this to happen but it does happen. He had a new P2 overnighted to me and told me not to expect it until Monday since UPS had already come for their daily pick-up. This was on a Thursday around 3:30 EST. I luckily received it the very next day. The P2 is very user friendly. Even someone who doesn't know much about the aftermarket world would easily be able to navigate it to only turn off the AFM DoD or install a tune.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mike47 from Predator 2 for GM gas truck and suv I purchased the Diablo predator 2 GM gas truck and suv .after purchasing the item and receiving the item I realized that is not compatible for my truck since I have the 2019 Chevy Silverado new body style this is not but my own fault as far not doing the research into the product .after contacting customer service through Diablo They assured me that the product would not work for my truck .they said they would have an update later this year. all I can say is they did credit me a refund in full after I returned the product. If you have questions or unsure about purchasing any product from Diablo contact customer service department before purchasing. I did have to pay a $35 shipping fee to send back item . thank you Diablo for refunding the amount.

The hp and torque gain isn’t noticeable, however having the AFM disabled is extremely nice. The tuner does have a lot of features, more than I’m aware of I’m sure as I only clicked through the custom settings quickly to disable the AFM. Overall it’s a solid product.

It's taken a few tanks of gas as well as some experimenting with the tunes to see what really worked with my truck. The performamce tune was by far the most fun as it woke up the beast... But for gas mileage the stock tune with some line pressure increase seemed to do the trick. I am looking forward to using the tow mode tune when I tow again. I am happy with the product . 2003 Chevy suburban 5.3 flex fuel Z71 with 238000 miles.

Got rid of the AFM which was messing with the shift points of the transmission, and installed the Diablo Performance tune, which made this 5.3L come alive. I'm running 93 octane for this tune. So far I have not tweaked any other settings since the Diablo Tune is excellent at managing transmission shift points, power etc. Happy customer... and my fuel economy has not suffered or increased, even though my foot has gotten a bit heavier since installing it!

I am able to disable the AFM, change shift points and torque management, and it also takes out the throttle delay. I highly recommend the Predator 2 programmer

Rated 5 out of 5 by JDHSS from A 1700 Mile Test I did 2 upgrades to my 02 Suburban, 5.3. Diablo and a Cold Air Intake. I saved the factory tune and installed the 87 Octane tune. I just bought a 24 foot, 4700 Lb. camper and before the upgrades, pulled it from the Tampa Bay area to St. Augustine FL - basically pretty flat. It struggled to maintain much more than 65 mph. After the upgrade, I took it to Stone Mountain Ga, then on to Cherokee NC. These are real hills and pulling a camper this big with a small block in the Suburban is no joke. But we did it! I won't stretch the truth, up those 7 - 8% grades is a struggle, often maintaining 35 - 40 mph and my eye always on the temperature. But the Suburban, full of family along with the camper remained faithful and strong. I believe due to these upgrades I added maybe 25 hp. Once we unhitched and were just toting the family to Gatlinburg TN, Pigeon Forge TN and Asheville, NC, the suburban felt great - no struggles, Plenty of power. I understand this can be re tuned as other power items. like an exhaust system are added - can't wait!!!

Bought this to kill the AFM for starters cause I have 185k on my ride and have been reading all the negative of the AFM. I then read a lot of reviews and blogs about what all others had done with the programmer too. So I did a few other tweaks and wish I had done this years ago. I. Ant believe how much better my truck rides now. I won’t try to tell you how to set your truck up cause I think we are all in different needs. The time it takes to load a new program when adjusting is simple and a breeze.

At first I was unable to use the tool due to buying my truck used and had previously been tuned by the original owner of the truck. With only a couple emails and 1 phone call to diablosports tech team (Mike) They were able to update my tool to reflash my truck back to stock to allow me to use the tool as intended. The updates only take a matter of seconds. I went with the 87 performance tune with minor perameter adjustments. The truck instantly feels more responsive. I left most things stock with the tune. only things i changed were idle rpm... tire size....AFM disabler.. I did select the 3.42 gear ratio as well on account of that is what comes in my truck. Im going to look in to the other options like torque and throttle settings and shift points. Seeing I didnt know for sure what they would do, i didnt mess with them. This is my daily driver with little to no hauling/towing so these options should work perfect for my daily needs. Thanks again Diablo team for the great product and customer service. -Geoff

Works great for both, but took almost 3 weeks to get the tire size correct as the speedo didn't calibrate exact to the new tire size as it is described in the instructions. Went from 31" to 33.2" but had to enter 32" to get it to work accurately. Not sure what happened or why. Would have given 5 stars if it hadn't been such a pain to get correct

I used the 87 tune as I stated everything is stock and nothing in the tuner should be adjusted unless the vehicle has had upgrades. I'm pleased to say I noticed a difference and would recommend this product for a GM gas truck! As far as fuel mileage improving Good luck if you are using the 87 tune on a stock truck.

Gas mileage took a hit of about 3 miles a gallon but the way my truck performs, starts and idles is well worth the mileage hit. I left the active fuel management enabled. This is a great tuner for anyone that wants better overall performance and is very simple to use.

Starting out with 87 performance and pleased with it so far.. tune shifts way better than stock and turned of dod and added throttle response and so far happy with the outcome.. so much nicer driving in town with this tune..can't wait to try the 93 tune next..

It would try to go to 4 cylinders while pulling the boat down hills and sometimes on flat ground. I have a 20ft boat i tow with the truck. The Diablo tow tune is awesome. The Diablo 93 tune helps the transmission not be so sluggish. Highly recommend this tuner.

Also the manual does not explain anything really it’s more of a test and drive thing. In conclusion I do like it but it’s too expensive for what it does

That product doesn't support your vehicle. The Predator 2, pn 7271, is what you would need on that year. It will increase power, throttle response and you can remove the speed limiter. You won't have the ability to customize the shift points though.

Unfortunately, this product cannot tune multiple vehicles at the same time. You would want to look for the 8245 to do that.
